Metro Housing|Boston Names Executives from Bank of America and State Street to Board of Directors Leadership Positions

Boston, MA – Metro Housing|Boston has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Gruber of Bank of America as Co-Chair and State Street executive Robert Kaplan as Vice Chair of its Board of Directors. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Ms. Gruber joins Cynthia Lacasse of MassHousing as Co-Chair of the 23-member Metro Housing Board.

Gruber has been at Bank of America for more than 30 years and is currently a Senior Vice President/Relationship Manager in the Community Development Bank. She spearheads an experienced team of affordable housing and tax credit professionals whose mission is to provide debt and equity financing for Low Income Housing Tax credit and mixed-income communities throughout the country. She has been a member of the Board of Directors at Metro Housing|Boston since 2008 and previously served as Vice Chair.

Mr. Kaplan, who joined the Board in 2016, has been with State Street for more than 30 years and has held a variety of management positions. He currently is executive vice president and head of Global Process Delivery, which includes securities and cash processing activities worldwide.

Ms. Lacasse has been Co-Chair of the Board since 2012 and a Board member since 1999. She is currently Director of Rental Business Development at MassHousing where she oversees rental lending program management, product development and marketing and origination. She oversees MassHousing’s new Workforce Housing Fund, which targets the construction of new middle‐income units. Ms. Lacasse was formerly an executive at John Hancock Financial in Boston, and served as president of John Hancock Realty Advisors.
