For Service Providers
Metro Housing|Boston is proud of its “People First, Housing Always” approach. Our Housing Supports programs provide innovative and personalized solutions to ensure that individuals and families who are homeless or most at risk of homelessness can find and sustain housing.
The Specialized Voucher programs administered by Metro Housing|Boston are opportunities for families to link subsidized long term stable housing with supportive services.
We offer a continuum of services from information and referral to in-depth individualized assessment, comprehensive case management and advocacy, intensive housing search, foreclosure prevention and tenancy preservation, and fair housing resources. Our holistic, creative, non-formulaic approach preserves tenancies, properties and communities.
If you are a mental health provider, case worker, nurse or other social service provider, Metro Housing|Boston can help find the right solutions for your clients.

Specialized Intensive Programs & Services (SIPS)
Specialized Intensive Programs & Services start with a comprehensive assessment of need and continue with supports that range from assistance with navigating service systems to gaining access to mental health, medical and/or substance use resources and/or entitlement benefits to practical hands-on help with daily living skills to financial and legal advocacy. The intensive, personalized and at-home focus is pivotal in engaging clients and stabilizing them in their homes and communities.
Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT)
RAFT is a tool used by the Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC) team to provide eligible households with rental assistance that can be used to help retain their housing, obtain new housing, or otherwise avoid becoming homeless.
HomeBASE
HomeBASE is a program of the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) designed to reduce the need for motels and shelters. The goal is to assist families who are facing homelessness to find alternative solutions to entering shelter and/or motels. Additionally, it seeks to reduce the number of families already in shelters and motels by providing financial assistance, resources, and services to quickly re-house these families.
